2. Avoid: Hot tubs, pools, saunas & open bodies of water. Spicy Foods Hot temperature Foods and drinks Tanning beds & excess sun exposure (for the first two weeks) Exfoliating or using a washcloth on/around lips. -For the first hour: Gently pat dry your lips with a tissue. -For day 1-5: Apply a thin layer of ointment using a cotton swab Repeat 3 times a day. -For day 1-7 Gently cleanse your lips with clean fingers and a mild/unscented soap & water.
